I'm running Windows XP and my ALL PROGRAMS List is a mess, is there a way I can organize it Alphabetically, I have gone into Windows Explorer/Programs, but it is organized the way I would like the ALL PROGRAMS List?

Right mouse click when in the All Programs list and select Sort By Name from the menu.

Thanks Zedy for your reply, unfortunately my Windows XP is not giving me that option, I right clicked on the green "ALL PROGRAMS" button and in the blank space of the list, still no luck...

I think you need to right click on any one of the items in your All Programs list (pick one at random). Doing that certainly gives me the option.

Hi,
Further to the above, in my All Programs list the column width sizes have suddenly expanded and I cannot now see all my list.  Is there any way I can reduce the width of the columns so I can see all my programs again ?
Thanks........Tel

Find the program icon with the longest name and shorten the name. Right click on the program icon and click on rename in the dropdown menu. Repeat with the next longest name till you are satisfied with the width.

My thanks to Lindalou for asking that question. I've wanted to do that for a long time but never enough to search for a solution. LOL

YOU CAN ALSO ARRANGE YOUR FAVORITES LIST THE SAME WAY, RIGHT CLICK ON ANY ONE OF YOUR "FAVORITES" SITE AND CLICK ON ARRANGE BY NAME...

I tried right clicking on both all programs and favorites. I do not get the option to arrange. I am using Vista Home Premium.

Vista already arranges the All Programs list, so there is no Arrange option (which is really called Sort by Name).
For Favorites you need to right click on one of the items in the Favorites list (not on the Favorites icon) and then select Sort by Name from the popup menu.
