I have an old Dell Latitude D600.  It has Windows 7, SRP 1 on it, but has a Windows XP Professional Product Key on it.  ( I have the product key for Windows-7, too - so everything should be legit.)

The wireless driver - Dell Wireless 1450 Dual Band WLAN Mini-PCI Card - isn't functioning properly.

In trying to reload it, via Dell etc, I have found all sites with a wireless 1450 driver, specify Windows-XP.

I can access the internet through an external driver I installed.

Am I right in suspecting the problem could be the driver is not compatible with Windows 7?

I'd like to be able to access the Internet without having to use the external driver.

I tried "http://www.mypcdrivers.com" - paid $20 bucks, and "repaired" the driver - NOT!

This is just for my wife to get on the Internet, check e-mail etc.  Just low level cruising about the Internet.

Your guidance will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

I would think that the WinXP driver would work in Win7.  It may be something else.  I would talk to the Dell people about it.
