I can reach most websites without problem, However, there are some web sites that do not respond.  When I run the connection diagnostic test in the internet tools section I get the following message: Windows cannot connect to the internet using HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP.  This is probably caused by firewall settings on  this computer.
Check the firewall setting for the HTTP posr(80), HTTPS port(443) and FTP port(21).
You might need to contact your Internet Service Provider(ISP) or the manufacturer of your firewall software.
When I start up my computer, my Avanquest connection manager indicates that I have several firewalls active.  As far as I know, I only have norton 360 firewall active. I deactivated the windows firewall.  How do I locate any other firewalls that may be causing the problem.  I would appreciate any help.  Regards, mnedil

I would suggest contacting Norton and finding out what the problem is.

Thanks for your input.  Will try Norton to see if they can offer a solution.  Regards,
