Computer Q&A Board / Questions / Changing administrator's user name
Posted by: rawana75, August 25th, 2009, 5:42pm
Updating a computer (Windows XP Professional SP 3), one of my relatives got as present, I changed the user name of the administrator in the administrator account, the old name being the surname of the previous possessor. But I could not change the corresponding name in the folder documents and settings (All Users, Default User, Harry, Local Service, Network Service), namely Harry. This being not very important but just a nuisance I notwithstanding got interested in the problem, but could not find any information searching the Microsoft websites. But perhaps is there somebody who had a solution?

Thanks for the information, but changing the registered owner was not my problem. I wanted to change the name of the folder Harry (only an example) as written in my original question.
