Computer Q&A Board / Questions / Failins IE links
Posted by: Eldred, March 31st, 2009, 8:35pm
Mozilla Firefox recently established itself as my current browser of choice without my permission. Now, I have noticed that all links in IE7 fail. Could an unnoticed update of Firefox have caused such a capture? If so, do I look to IE or Firefox for corrective action? These failures are routinely reported by Force Field, but so far without effect. Suggestions welcome.

Start IE7 and it will automatically ask to be made your default browser. Click yes and you are done. If it does not, open Internet Properties in the Control panel and click on the Programs tab. You will see the option to make IE7 your default.
Frankly Firefox is better and can easily import all your IE links.

Snakeyes,
Thanks for your response. I have since figured out the the problem is with Zone Alarm/ Force Field. If I disable the virtualization feature of force field the links seem to work. At least it enabled me to access tis link. I have complained to Zone Alarm.
