The conficker worm is due to activate tomorrow. I've updated all os and all security software on all my PCs. - backed up registries - and alerted my friends to also do so. Any tips or suggestions  to help be more prepared?

Personally I think the whole thing was an April Fool's joke and and they somehow fooled the Microsoft bunch into going along. Microsoft people don't seem to be the sharpest knives in the bag anyway. I haven't heard of a single problem caused by this "Conflicker Worm". If anyone has, please let me know!

properly patched Windows PCs with firewalls are highly unlikely to get this worm. However since this worm (that can travel via USB drives) has corrupted many business PCs and has the potential to do severe damage to the computers and also initiate Denial of Service attacks on websites using these PCs.
