I have a new computer I would like to use.  My new computer and my current computer both came with XP Pro installed.  I believe that because the XP Pros are factroy installed, I cannot simply clone a HD and put it in my new computer.  So, my questions are:  1) Is it correct that a cloning will not work?  2) If this is correct, does anyone have experience with PCMover or any other program that will do a complete transfer correctly?  and finally,  3) If both of these questions are answered negatively, does anyone have experience with the best way (safest, fastest) to do a simple, 100% XP Pro to XP Pro migration?

Your cloned drive will not have the right drivers etc. to match your new hardware and if it works at all , will be buggy. I would just reinstall all your software on the new PC and the copy over your data files. This would give you a fresh install that will run cleaner and better than ever before.
