You stated that Grisoft does not have the new AVG 8.0 on their web site any more. Just type in AVG free in 'their' search engine on their page and it comes up at the head of the class. Or you can just point to http://free.avg.com/download?prd=afe.
I must add that I am having problems loading 8.0 on a Pro Version of Win 2000. It caused a rebooting routine that will reboot windows in 'different' places along boot up, yet sometimes will allow it to go to desktop and work fine until you click on something it that sets the reboot off again. I have seen these problems in XP, but never experienced them in 2000 before and never at different stages of bootup.

I think in another thread it is stated that Grisoft put the Free version back on their website.  They are just toying with us.
