Computer Q&A Board / Windows / Unable to Repair Registry
Posted by: pgabor9, February 16th, 2008, 5:48pm
I have the following entry in my registry that I am unable to repair.
The key "CLSID\{1171A62F-052-11D1-83FC-00A0C9098C5A}\InprocServer32 refers to a missing file, C:\windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash9b.ocx
I have tried deleting it in Regedit, but my system won't let me change the Registry key. I think the entry is a leftover from an older version of Flash Player, so I deleted and reinstalled Flash Player, but it did not help.
Has anyone seen this error before?

After unchecking "Use simple file sharing" in Tools/Folder Options/View got to the file and in Properties/Security change the permissions. This will allow you to delete.
