:) Ray - Thanks very much for the tips to restore the IE6 Icon to the desktop. Dr.Nick's tip worked and was easy to use. IE Icon is restored to my desktop. However, I still have no tick box option for Internet Explorer in Desktop\Display Properties\Desktop\Customise Desktop\General\Desktop Icons to . Any ideas on why it is missing and how to get it to appear? Many thanks.

I don't have a checkbox for Internet Explorer there either. I have three checkboxes there: My Documents, My Computer, and My Network Places
