Computer Q&A Board / Speed Startup / Speed Startup
Posted by: Lowlander (Guest), February 12th, 2008, 9:09pm
I have subscribed to Speed Startup and found it a very good program but after approximately one week it stopped working.
I have emailed and received a reply from Ray - he advised me to open the program in c:/ and rename the file and try running it. Unfortunately this has not worked and I do not want to keep pestering Ray, can someone please help me get this program back.
I am using Windows Home Edition SP2 and the message I get when trying to access the program is -
"Access violation at address 004F51B9 in module 'speedstartup.exe'. Read of address 00000000"
All the best to everyone.

I'm far from being an expert on the subject but, the first thing I would do is use the "Add and remove Programs" feature of control panel to un-install "Speed" and then re-install it.
