Major Geeks is a website that lists many free and some commercial programs.  It also provides news about updates to many programs, problems/fixes, and some general topics.  On the left side of the homepage is a list of types of software.  I have had good luck with software obtained via Major Geeks.  Note that the WinRescue series of programs are listed under "registry", not under "backup", which contains things like disk/parition imaging tools.
