I use MS. Money for my personal banking,
could you please help me to delete obsolete entry titles that remain on
the drop down menu box as soon as I click to enter a new transaction,
thereby reducing the number of past entries no longer required.

There does not appear to be a choice option to do this
your help would be most appreciated.

   I have never used Microsoft Money.
   I would think that Microsoft Money keeps that information in the registry.  So if you figure out where, you should be able to go into the registry and delete the entries that you don't want.
