I do not want A1 Cleaner to remove files starting with Copy of or Backup_of_.

When the list is shown at the end of the scan, you can select the items and tell A1 Cleaner to skip or not to clean the selected entries.  However, I want to be able to tell A1 Cleaner never to search in specified categories.

When A1 Cleaning is finding the files to clean, it shows the status of Enabled / Disabled / Waiting .

Can I change the status of selected categories to be disabled so that A1 Cleaner never scans certain categories?

   Yes, you can do that by specifying the settings that you want and don't want to use in the Cleaner Settings section and then running Run Settings.  Run Settings uses the settings in Cleaner Settings.
