After receiving a new copy of win rescue and backing up, it didn't seem to burn my DVD, and I get a message "please insert a disc into Drive D. I know there is nothing written to the disc because if I put it in drive E it shows there is only free space.During the back up I was asked to indicate how I would back up :windows media player, etc.) I chose "burn the disc".  thanks, bill  

   That part of WinRescue has not changed for a long time.  I don't know why it is not working for you.
   My guess is that the message asking to indicate how you would back up is from Windows and is the result of you inserting the DVD.  WinRescue is not giving that message.
