Computer Q&A Board  /  Speed Startup  /  Very Slow System Start-Up

I downloaded both trial versions of "REGVAC" and "REG (Quick Start?)".  I liked REGVAC and soon after I purchased the program.  I was not as happy with with the Quick Start program and I eventually used the Windows UNINSTALL program before the end of the trial period.  That effort at least got rid of the annoying reminder to buy the program every time I restarted my computer, but now my computer takes at least twice as much time to start up as it did before I installed and uninstalled the Quick Start program.

I have tried to use the HP System Restore program to numerous Restore points before the downloads I made, but I constantly get an "Unable To Restore to the Selected Date" message.  This is a bone I have to pick with HP.  I have never had System Restore work for me any time I have tried it.  Are there any suggestions for getting back to my original Medium slow start status.

Did you use RegVac after you uninstalled the other program? I always do this since there are usually registry entries for any uninstalled program that remain even after uninstalling.
Use msconfig to check the startup programs and see why your startup is so slow.
Start\Run, type in msconfig, go to the startup tab.

I assume that by REG (Quick Start) you are talking about our program, Speed Startup.  Uninstalling it should put everything back the way it was before using Speed Startup.
I don't know why it would take twice as long to start.
I would suggest that you follow the suggestions of dlwolff0.
