Computer Q&A Board / Internet / Internet Explorer - Google locks up
Posted by: ronjcook, July 16th, 2007, 12:20am
I'm running XP Home ed., II. Whenever I have Internet Exporer - Google open and try to close it, IE suddenly becomes becomes inoperable -- not only the window I'm using but all others on desktop as well (one exception -- I just discovered one in Google Maps that remained OK). If I Crtl.Alt.Delete and click CLOSE, ALL that are currently on the desktop close (with the exception just noted). This can be a real pain!
Suggestions???? Thanks

Simple answer - stop using Internet Explorer - it has more problems than a dog has fleas. It is probably a good idea to also avoid Google, since they misuse the data that they collect on you whenever you do a search.

Simpler answer - stop using your computer and you will have no more problems. :)
That sounds like what Netscape used to do to me.
I have never experienced that with Internet Explorer and Google (and I do use both).
