In Windows Disk Cleaanup, I show 184,195 K in Compress Old Files box that will not clean. I have tried everything I know but no luck. I'm sure it must slow my system down a bit, not to mention it frustrates the heck out of me. Can anyone help please ?

its my understanding thats how much space you would save if you compressed your hard drive. nothing really to worry about but if it bothers you do this:

1. Type Regedit in Start - Run
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Volume Caches
3. Expand the Volume Caches folder and select the "Compress Old Files" folder
4. Delete all entries in the Compress Old Files folder
5. Reboot
6. Run Disk Cleanup and you wont see the compress old files anymore.
