816093: Security Update Microsoft Virtual Machine (Microsoft VM)
I continually receive notification from Microsoft to download and Install the above Update. I do not have Microsoft VM on my Computer nor is the Core installation available from Microsoft. I initially installed SUN JAVA, due to Microsoft not supporting or providing Microsoft VM. If I install this Update it puts my Computer into a loop of Downloading, Installing, Rejecting the Update because the Core program is not installed and receiving pop-ups, to download and install again. HIDEING the Update in Windows Update does not work, continuous NAG, NAG, NAG screens.
Is there a way to stop the Update from being recommended for my Computer?
Thank You.

Have you tried going to their forum and seeing if it says anything about that? If it doesn't, you can leave a message asking about it. The forum should be accessible from the update notice.

If you go to the update site and scan for updates and uncheck the undesireable one and click on the plus sign with it . there is an option box to hide the update from future scans.

My Subject line is misleading. It is not that the 'MS VM' Update wont install, its that the core "MS VM" is not installed on my computer. Naturally this means there is nothing on my computer to Update, other than "Sun JAVA". which is different than "MS VM" and won't accept the Update. Yes, I have hide the Update but I felt there should be a way to stop its download or delete the download so I dont have to deal with it again, over and over, since I dont have the core "MS VM" on my computer. I mean its not as if its my fault. At the time I needed JAVA the "MS VM" was not being offered or supported by Microsoft. I went to "Sun" to get "JAVA", so those programs would play.

I would guess that the update keeps being offered because there are some entries for MS VM somewhere in the registry.
Have you tried searching the registry for it?
