Hello All,
I really need help on this ... I'm so frustrated ! ... When I run AOL Disk Cleanup, I show 214,000KB in "Compress old files" to be deleted. Problem is it won't clean up. The item box is checked but it just remains there after the process is completed. On my other computers this is not an issue. Only on my lap do I have a problem which may I add was not a problem in the past. I'm sure this must slow my system down a little We have 4 puters at home all running XP. What am I overlooking to correct this aggravation? If anyone can help, please email me. Thanks Much !

One possibility is that you are not waiting long enough for AOL to delete them. Give it an hour or so.
Another possibility is that a problem in the registry is messing AOL up. AOL is registry dependent on certain things. When it gets its registry setting messed up, it just refuses to do those things. RegVac at
http://superwin.com/regvac.htm has been known to fix problems with AOL. You can try RegVac free for 30 days.
