Computer Q&A Board / Windows / Can't load Service Pack 2
Posted by: LFTTRN2, December 24th, 2006, 1:04pm
We have a Dell Inspiron 8100 running Windows XP Professional Version 2002 and it says that we are running Service Pack 2 but everytime we try to turn on Updates it says that we need to load Service Pack 2. I really don't think that it ever loaded. What do we need to do to get Service Pack 2 loaded. Everytime we try to load it it comes up failed. Are there some drivers or something that we need to update. We need help.

LFTTRN2,
HI- there could be multiple reason why service pack2 is not getting installed.
.
I suggest you forst read the article from Microsoft site:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/sp2_whattoknow.mspx.
.
to know whether your Pc is ready for service pack 2 or not, and you have the required updated softwares compatible with SP2.
.
