I want to remove this from starting automatically with Windows as I always run it manually. Will doing so affect its performance adversely please? I can do this through AVG Antispyware 7.5.

RegVac and Win RescueXP do not start with Windows, but run overnight using a scheduler (Wincron), as my PC is usually left on all the time, and I seem to have no problems.

The reason for asking the question is that I am thinking of buying an external hard drive for my Dell Dimension 2400 PC, and want to reduce the number of programs running automatically.

   Just start A1Click, go to the Automatic Scan menu, and select Do Not Perform.
