Computer Q&A Board / Other Computer Problems / USB Flash Drive doesn't show all files
Posted by: welsh793, December 2nd, 2006, 11:32am
I have a few flash drives which don't show all the files that I have tried to transfer from one computer to another. One is a Cruzer mini 1.0 GB; the other Cyclone 32 M, and older one. With the Cruzer, I copied two files both 4 meg. to it from a HP 750n Pavilion with XP SP2. It has both version of USB
I am trying to move the file to a computer. no name, with XP SP2, That computer doesn't see the files on the Cruzer. Also I have a Dell that doesn't see the fiiles either. It only have Version 2 but should be able to see either format?
I tried to use software that came with the flash drive that might have different drivers but XP give a message saying that it doesn't need driver information.
Question: Why doesn't the other computer see these files and how do I make them visible?
Any help would be appreciated. :-/
Thanks in advance,
J. Welsh

1. Have you plugged it back into the original computer to make sure it's still there?
2. Make sure it's not marked as a hidden file by mistake.
3. You may have a faulty thumb drive.
Perhaps others have some additional ideas.
