Hi terryausa:

I typed framedyn.dll in Google, and came up with the following link:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319114Maybe the information and instructions there will help you to resolve your problem. If you decide to try out the instructions there, it is a good idea to print the whole page; I find that is easier than switching back and forth between different windows.
Let us know what happens, will you?
Good luck!

Hi,
It is my understanding that dll's may also get removed by programs that may be sharing the same dll if you uninstall one of the sharing programs.
Perhaps you might like to look for a free dll backup utility. I use DriverGuide Tool Kit (paid version) which can search for all your dll's on your system and make a backup to a chosen directory. It also has a feature that allows you to get updated versions of a given dll. Frankly, I haven't tried this aspect of the program so, can't comment on it. Having a backup folder of all your dll's makes very easy to replace a missing or corrupt dll. You just have to remember to run the program evrey time you install new software. Which reminds me I better get to it.
Hope this helps,

Thanks Peter,
Can't print as driver won't install, did all at support link you gave me, driver still wouldn't install.........going to reboot & try again, if it still won't install, then my framedyn.dll in dll cache must be corrupt also.........will let you know, what's weird is the scanner & fax of X1100 all in one Lexmark drivers installed, but no printer.

There is another thread on this same topic which was started by terrayusa. It is at
http://www.regvac.com/forum/m-1164563044/ and may have more information about framedyn.dll.
I split this thread up because it had gone off on a different path than what the original question was about.
I have had problems with framedyn.dll too. I think that it started with me after a restore that I did with the backup program which came on my computer. For me, the framedyn.dll error came up during installation of the printer and was not because of an incomplete install. Evidently, the installation program uses framedyn.dll.

Thanks Ray, Sorry for late reply, got hit with a lot of snow, getting fire wood in & covered etc etc, Peter's google search above took me to how to repair the dll at MSN.........that worked, Lexmark Tech had to spend 2 hours, calling me back also, to finally get the install CD to work. Printer is up & running again. They didn't charge me even tho printer warranty is up.
I did a driver update site recommended by PC World in Sept.........while it was scanning my system, it wiped out drivers, my usb 200 gig 2nd hard drive & my lexmark were 2 of them of a few others, lexmark would not reinstall after that & started getting framedyn.dll error.
But the programs, SpyBot 1 of them, would open after I closed dll error. After I reinstalled framedyn.dll per msn tech instructions I received no more dll errors.
Sorry, I don't remember that driver update site.
Thanks again to all of you for your help, Terry
