I have a Cornea flat panel monitor.  I am running xp.

I have had a problem since day one with the monitor - after a relatively short period of time it begins to display what sort of looks like mini blinds.  this begins at the top and slowly moves down.  

It is solved by turning off the monitor or restarting the pc - but only for a very short time.

It is almost as though the monitor gets warm and it begins.  I have however had a recent period of several months that I did not have the problem.  I was not using the graphics much during that time and just the other day I allowed an upgrade of quick time and it all started again.

I can not afford a new monitor at this time so if there is some information to help me out there I would appreciate it.

Have you tried adjusting the monitor with the controls on the monitor itself?
According to information I could locate, there is an auto adjust mode you can access from the menu.
Other suggestions:
Update the drivers for the monitor and video card.
Check both ends of the cable connection between the card and the monitor.

You may have your monitor refresh set way to high.  LCDs like a refresh of no more than 70 Hertz and most really like 60.  Many graphics systems will automatically set this for you, but it could be that yours did not.

You can check this by right clicking on your desktop, choose Properties, then in the display properties choose Settings.  Then click on the Advanced button.  Then go to the Monitor tab, it should show you what refresh rate you have.

It could also be that the signal processor on your LCD is whacked.  I have never heard of that brand of LCD.  If it is a budget LCD then it could be a hardware problem.

Also try upgrading your video card drivers to the latest ones along with MS Direct X.  You can get Direct X from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads.  Do a searchfor Direct X.
