If you are getting a popup like that, when you try to install the ATI DVD software, it is trying to tell you that you need to install the ATI display driver first.
Go to http://www.ati.com/ and find the latest driver for your video card and install it. Then try loading the DVD software after rebooting your computer.

Thanks dlwolffo. I thought the ATI CD  had all nessary Drivers, guess I thought wrong. ATI.com worked great. Downloaded updated Drivers, and all software from this site. Now I need to know where I can find a reputable site for a free download of a DVD decoder. (LG-ROMDRD8160B) Any help appreaciated. Thanks to all.

Try this site. They have a free player that handles DVDs and have good reviews from a couple of sources.

Thanks again, dlwolffo. I didn't quit looking on my own. Lo and behold, ATI, came through again. Listen folks, these people at, ATI, are great. Live people to talk to, very patient, and really work with you. I would reccomend, ATI, products to anyone, Tech support is a,10!
Mine was a pass along ATI VIDEO card and CD from a friend. It was causing WIN2000 to lock up on his machine. Did the same on mine. Didn't know it at the time. That's when I formatted the HDD. With, dlwolffo's, help, I wound up at the, ATI, site. Had to register the product. Used a number I found on the, CD. It worked! With Tech help, I was able to download the files for updated drivers, and graphics. I now have total control of all graphics, I can tweak all graphics to the n'th degree. It's like watching, HDTV. Plus, my system dosen't hang anymore.

                                                                              Thanks for the help
