I have heard of that. It is a problem with your Quicken user account. I don't remember what the solution is. Hopefully, their website has a solution on it.

My brother had that same problem, but he does not use RegVac or A1Click. My wife uses both and uses Quicken and has never had a problem. I am sure that thousands of our users also use Quicken with no problem.
You could try restoring the backups to A1Click and RegVac if you think that they caused the problem. Even though, I have not heard of any problem, it is possible that one of them could have done something. Once you find the problem, you can always have our programs skip that item.

Hi Ray,
Here is what happened: I was searching my computer for a solution and fixed the problem with quicken opening. Operating system Windows XP professional.
I was in control panel, system(system properties), Advanced, Startup and Recovery, Settings: I changed the boot.ini default setting:
From: "Microsoft Windows XP Professional/no execute = optin/ fastdetect
To: "Microsoft Windows XP Professional/fastdetect/no execute = optin
And Quicken opened in my User Account, which of course would not open previous to this action.
I then ran RegVac and there were two files associated with quicken that were listed and checked to be deleted... They were:
HKey_Classes_Root\Application\QW.exe and
HKey_Classes_Root\Application\QHI.exe
I unchecked all the files, checked those two files and restored them. I am not sure is deleting these files had anything to do with my problems with quicken, but i am happy to say that it is still working fine..... knock on wood...

Good, I am glad that you figured it out.
RegVac and A1Click do not change the boot.ini file. So if the boot.ini file was causing that, it was not RegVac or A1Click that messed it up.
I doubt that the RegVac entries caused anything, but if you want to you can have RegVac always skip them. Or you can try Quicken after RegVac removes them and if Quicken does not work, you can always restore those two items in the Undo section.

thanks so much, i am not sure what caused the problem or why two different boot.ini files are stored on my computer. i corrected the problem by absolute luck. i used your advice though. when i restored those files that regvac found they never showed up again in recent instances of reg vac and a1 click so i guess i should not have any more problems. i deleted the boot file that did not work propely.... thanks for the help cause i certainly needed it.
