Computer Q&A Board  /  RegVac  /  Trayapp.msi fax.msi

Hi,

I find that when I clean the registry with regvac automatically, at the next start of windows. The PC asks for the trayapp.msi and the fax.msi. These files reside on the HP printer installation cd and are part of my HP printer (7310) installation.
I have found this problem with more HP printers only. Somehow to much gets deleted.
When I restore the registry with the registry backup made by regvac the problem is also solved.

regards,

Robert

HP is notorious for putting invalid entries in the registry.  It is probably only one entry that RegVac is removing.  If you find out what that one entry is, you can have RegVac skip it.  You can also send it to me and I will program RegVac to always skip it.
