Hi everybody,
I'm back with some strange problem.
I bought a WLan Modem from Speedtouch with two USB-sticks for connection.
The idea was to install a wireless net at home so that my daughter also might get access to internet.
It seems easy but after installation I had no connection at all.
Connection was there, but there was something preventing access.
I had for 2 days the guys from our Postoffice helpdesk on the phone, and at the end they  admit that they couldn't manage the thing!
That was a shock. :'(
So i tried different things, specially changing firewall settings in Norton etc... but no way. The only connection I got was by ethernet-cable on my laptop!
Which didn't really help.
So playing around I tried the WIFI connection on my PC and , oh wonder, it worked!
Now I had the whole day this connection which should come from somewhere in the neighborhood, because at the window at get about 60% connection.
But where does it come from?
And how safe is this?
I'm only wondering at this. I got a program to check connections which is really nice and free on http://www.netstumbler.com. It shows that the connections are there but i have no access to the wireles Lan.
Any suggestions, any help?
Specially the safety question is important. (I have Norton Internet Security running)

Hello,
I had the same problem with my D-Link router.  There were 5 wireless connections interfering with my computers.  I logged onto my router's website. http://192.168.0.1 and using advanced tab,  then  used the Filter tab and set the MAC settings to only allow my computers to access the router.  I do not know if you are using a router for multiple computers on a wireless connection, but if you are then find out what the website is for the router.  Most of them start with 192.168. and then two other numbers.  Hope this helps.

I gave up.
I messed around for 4 days and couldn't fix the thing. No way.
I reinstalled my good old DSL Modem and made a prolongation for the other room. Now things are settled and we have nice connections on cable again. UFF!
I thought I go crazy. It seems that it is Norton, but I think it is also the way these guys have programmed their access to the server. And without Norton I will not go on Internet! I made such devastating experiences by forgetting once for 5 minutes and had 42 viruses and spyware on my computer! :'( :'( :'( Had two weeks of hard work. No never again
So I put this Touchspeed WLan aside for maybe better days.
