Downloaded and installed IE 7.  It does not come up, just flashes on screen and is gone. IE6install.exe is still in the Internet Explorer folder.  Says install is still running, reboot.  Rebooted...Install is still running!!!  No longer able to access hyperlinks in email.  Internet Explorer and MSN no longer accessable.  Unable to remove program, does not appear in Control Panel, Add/Remove files.  It appears that IE 7 was not really completely installed due to IE 6 still in computer.

I no longer use internet explorer but I have installed upgrades on my older computer many times with out problems.  I dont remember having to uninstall older versions before a new install.  I would try to reinstall ie7.  Do a complete new download.
If that doesnt work you may get a friend to download Mozilla firefox to a disk and install that.   http://www.firefox.com.  I have used it for many years and really love it.
