I have a question: do you know the error message: In Generic Host Process for Win32 Services is an error and must be closed.

I have Windows XP HE with SP 2.

Looks like you have a malware infestation. Go to
http://www.spywareguide.com/ click on free scan in the online tools section on the left and see if that will clean your computer for you.
To protect yourself I suggest you consider SpySweeper from Webroot, it's not free but it is good.

Thank you for your suggestion. I use allready the registered vesion of Spy sweeper and Adaware from Lavasoft. With Hitman pro I scan every week my system, but the error message remains.

Do you have Norton's installed?
