Have windows xp home edition and want to delete a couple of user names but when I try too all I get is a message:wrong number of arguments or invalid property. Has anyone any ideas to help me out. thank you

Not familiar with XP Home.
If your control panel has a entry for "users and passwords" and you have an administrator account, then it should be simply a matter of opening the users and passwords applet, selecting the users you want to remove and then clicking the remove button.

This can happen due to missing OLE32 registration.
You may try to use the following VBScript to correct the above problems.
Download olereg.vbs
from
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/reg/olereg.vbsand run the file.
