I've had to reinstall Windows XP SP3 a few times in the past, and after the reinstall I have to reinstall the 400-500 (or more) Windows updates from scratch... this takes hours!  What is the best way to do this?  Check all the updates required at once and click update, or check some of them (20 or 30) and click update (and when Windows update is complete, check another 20-30).  Or is there some other preferred way to update Windows XP after a reinstall?
