i got a wireless router as a gift. i want to be able to go online without a phone line. question: what do i need to do this? the cd that came with this router is not getting me online. its installed on the computer but other then that it don't work. can you help me?
  im running windows xp home with firefox. i want to mention that i use automatic ip numbers that change every day or so. i have dsl. what do i do? maryland law says i can't take it out and shoot it.

There should be a modem that comes with the DSL.  Connect the modem up with the router using an ethernet cable.  The cable will need to be plugged into the correct port in the router.  Then you can either hook your computer up with the router using an ethernet cable or using wireless.
