Removed two 512MB RAM DDR PC2700 modules and installed two new 1GB DDR PC2700 RAM modules.  Computer would not boot up completely.   I made sure that the new modules were inserted properly.  Removed the new modules and replaced with old 512MB RAM modules and computer booted properly with an error message regarding BCC codes - BCP 1 through 4.  My mother board, Biostar M7VIG 400, has capacity for 2GB RAM.My conclusion is that one or both new modules are defective.  How can I test these modules to find out which one is defective?  Or did I do something wrong?

Why not try just inserting one of the new modules and see what happens?

Thanks.  Thought about that but wasn't sure it could be done without without causing problems.  Will try it and let you know.
