I am a bit peeved at Microsoft and all their supposed good security updates and other junk. A month or so ago I got a message that I needed to update my XP so went ahead and let it update. After that I have had nothing but trouble. Every time I try to do simple tasks, mainly get on the net, I get a "Windows-No Disk" error. IT comes along with all this gobbledegook - Message - C00000 13 Parameter 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6bfyc and this keeps popping up till I just cancel it. Usually about 3 to 4 times. Another question, I made the error of putting IE 8 on my PC the other day and have had trouble there too. I use Firefox so when I try to use it, it works OK but is slow and sometimes freezes. Can I uninstall IE 8? That's made more for Vista and 7 not XP. Do we XP lovers really need to download it when we won't even be using it? Thanks, Arlene

I do not know what is causing the error. I am using IE8 in WinXP with no problems. If you do not want to install IE8, you don't have to, but if you install IE8, it is hard, if not impossible, to go back to IE7 without reinstalling Windows.
