I had windows7 previously on my computer having just a single system drive and a recovery drive.i wanted to install another OS winXp on my computer but had non extra drive\partition for installation.so i shrinked the free space from my computer and created an unallocated space and further i turned unallocated space into partition/drive...and i installed winXp into that partition/drive..now problem is .....when i start my computer i don't get the option of choosing the OS and winXP OP directly loads and starts..i wonder where previous OS windows7 went..so how can i enable the multiple operating system selection during computer start up if not how can i recover my files of previous OS windows7....NOTE:when comp loaded with winXp i checked drives all are in same previous position ...system drive(of windows7) and recovery drive are present. Please help i am in big trouble.

For WinXP you have to use the boot.ini file and for Win7 you have to use bcdedit.exe.  You have to start first by using the bcdedit.exe file to add WinXP.  Try doing a search online for bcdedit.exe for more information.
