Hi there,

have a problem here

I want to copy/move multiple files (alle pic and video files from camera) into one directory. The problem that rises is that some of the files have exactly the same name. I still want to copy all those files into one dorectory and rename all the ones that have the same name with the result that i'll have ALL the files in one directory

A possibility could be that if the camera model/date taken/size and dimensions are the same (or i can be VERY VERY sure that it is the same file), the copies can be deleted or overwritten.

Thank you very much for your help.

I assume you are asking if there is an automatic way to do that or if there is software that can do that for you.  I don't know of any.

Yes there is a program that I have been using for a few years "Photo Lightning"

available http://www.photolightning.com/index.html

with this you can specify a prefix like FRAME-xxxx  and the xxxx are consecutive numbers that the system will add. It also converts pictures to other formats and and can fix various things in a batch form like red eyes, exposure, etc.

You can try before purchasing.
