The Winrescue 7 page states that parts of WinRescue 7 are NOT compatible with 64-bit. What parts? File backup seems to work fine. Is it registry? Is there any plan to correct this & when?
Thanks

The only parts that do not work properly in Windows 7 64bit are Registry Backup, Registry Pack (RegPack), and Registry Restore.  This is the result of a bug in Windows.  It is not a problem in WinRescue.  When Microsoft fixes the bug (I doubt they will), WinRescue will work properly.

Win 7 Compatability with REGVAC.

When I was using REGVAC with Win xp it would only take 3 to 4 mini=utes to complete. I upgraded to Win 7 and REGVAC takes 30 to 40 minutes to complete. REGVAC needs help.

We have received a few reports like this concerning Win7 but when we try it on our computers (with 32bit and 64bit) we cannot reproduce the problem.  We have never had RegVac take 30-40 minutes to do a scan.  Maybe the problem is with your computer and the fact that Win7 takes more resources to function and so RegVac is not allowed to run as fast.  I don't know.
