Yesterday I ran RegVac under Windows 7. I got the final message "200 entries removed". Being curious I tried again and got the result "194 entries removed". Hereafter I tried again and again getting always the same result "194 entries removed". Why is this? Are there any problems with Windows 7 for RegVac? rawana75

A New Bible Built with Modern Technology

New Testament - Breakthrough Version

The Breakthrough Version achieves a much higher level of accuracy. It is:

  • more literal
  • more precise
  • more contemporary
  • more correct
  • more consistent

This Bible even translates hundreds of forgotten Greek words that no other Bible does.

It is an essential tool for Bible teachers and students, yet it is easy to read, even for newbies.

Hi   -- all I can really tell you is I get different amounts of entries deleted each time I do a cleaning but I will look closer -- I only run Windows for websites & presentations -- so that machine is turned off a lot. I use Ubuntu 9.04 for all web surfing as is safer in my opinion [and many others] & looks & works the same.  Youtube, Facebook --- etc.

Windows 7 does not allow a lot of entries to be removed from the registry even though they are bad.  It looks like in your case the number of entries that Windows 7 does not allow to be removed is 194.  Other bad entries that are found are removed so you should still use RegVac to remove the entries that Windows 7 allows to be removed.

Thanks for information. Windows 7 has a lot of strange features. I don't like Windows 7, Windows XP is much simpler and so better for home computers.
