I'm considering purchasing Win Rescue.  I have 2 questions:

1. I notice on the SuperWin site you can download version 1.08 for Vista.   Is this a "trial" version of some sort? A "basic" version?
I'm asking because it appears that I have two options.  Either download the product or
purchase the registered version.

2. What are the disadvantages to backing up on CD Rom disc?

A New Bible Built with Modern Technology

New Testament - Breakthrough Version

www.breakthroughversion.com

The Breakthrough Version achieves a much higher level of accuracy. It is:

  • more literal
  • more precise
  • more contemporary
  • more correct
  • more consistent

This Bible even translates hundreds of forgotten Greek words that no other Bible does.

It is an essential tool for Bible teachers and students, yet it is easy to read, even for newbies.

It is a trial version that works for 30 days.  When you purchase it, you will be given a key that will unlock the trial version.
The disadvantages are that it takes a long time and a lot of CDs.  Unless you are just backing up a few of your important files, it is easier to backup to the hard drive.

By "hard drive" are you referring to an external hard drive or the one in the computer?  If it's
the one in the computer and my puter dies won't I lose everything anyway?

Either or.
If you have several internal hard drives, it is unlikely that all of them will go bad at the same time.  If your computer dies, that does not mean that you hard drive will die too.
