Using RegVac it found 401 items and removed them. One hour later it still found 401 entries and removed them. One day later - hardly having used my computer - it still found 401 entries and removed them.
My question is: has my register been cleaned or not? Or did I do something wrong? I used the Novice Zone.
Thank you in advance for your reply. Rob.

Which Windows are you using?  Do you have any backup or protective software running on your computer?

I should have mentioned that I am using W7 64 bits. Could that be the problem? Re-installing the trial version 5.02.04 did not work. It found 413 entries and removed 401!

Windows is blocking some registry entries from being removed.  Vista did this and now 7 does it even worse.  There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason behind the blocking.  Just because an entry is blocked by Windows does not mean that it is a good entry.  RegVac will still clean the entries that are not blocked and so RegVac still should be used regularly.
