I am running Windows Vista 32 bit on 1 computer and 64 bits on another one. For both computers I made a recovery disk that restores the computer to the factory installed software system. I previously lost a hard drive and it was replaced under warranty. I used the recovery disk(s) and brought the new hard drive up to the factory installed system. However, it was a very time comsuming job installing all the other application software that I had previously installed on the computer. I recently bought an Iomega auxillary hard drive and I used WinRescue to perform a full backup of drive C and the Win files, on the auxillary hard drive. Howevr, Winrescue will not make a bootable restore disk(s) for Vista. The question is: Can I use the recovery disks to restore the original factory setting software and then use Winrescue backup data, that I backed up on the auxillary disk, to restore the other application software? Thanks, Everett Boyd
