hi,

i am using dell inspiron laptop in this laptop i have installed two operating system. one is fedora 9 and other one is vista hoe editn. Nw i want to keep fedora and instead of vista i want to install xp sp2. so how need to do that.

every time when i insert xp sp2 bootable cd it just shows this message ..... press any key to boot from cd..... then it wil stop further steps..... >:(

   It sounds like there may be something wrong with the CD.
   I do not know if Microsoft will allow you to install Windows XP over Windows Vista, but if it will, just make sure to install or update to the same directory as where Windows Vista is (probably C:\Windows).
   If it does not allow it, it will tell you.

I haven't tried this operation but I suspect that Microsoft will not let you return to an older version of Windows. No money in that!! You might have to format the Vista Home Edition partition first. But, that is just my opinion. Maybe Ray can advise you further on that.
