Someone please help! My Laptop (HP Pavilion) was working normally last night, when it froze up. I tried rebooting it (turning it on and off) and I was able to log in, but once I logged in, the mouse and the keyboard wouldn't work. Then I tried turning it off and on again, but once it turned on the screen was  black (it's on, just the screen is completely black). It;s been black despite being on since this morning. Can someone please help me?

It doesn't sound good.  I would suspect a bad motherboard or RAM, but hopefully it isn't that bad.  It could also be a bad video card, screen, or a number of other possibilities.  It is probably time to take it to the repair shop.
