Dear Ray,
Another question about virtual memory.
In the old days of Windows 95 is was advised to make the virtual memory as large as possible in order to speed up the PC. A few years later this advice was changed to make is 1 1/2 x as large, then it changed to 2 x as large. Last year I read the advice to let Windows decide how large the memory should be and last week I saw an advice to stick to the advised memory in the virtual memory box for start and finish.
What is wisdom? Can you tell?
kind regards form Rob

I think the deciding factor is how much free space you have.  Now a days drives are huge and so people have all kinds of free space, so let it be as large as it needs to be.  But if free space is limited to you, then limit the amount of space virtual memory takes.  The larger the virtual memory the faster things will run.
