I am posting this question for Phil Nash.

using AOL 9.1 on Windows XP Home SP-2 (no to SP-3) I have had disconnect and stability problems for months due to running the free Zone Alarm firewall for several years. It has now uninstalled, and I use Windows internal firewall...is this good enough? The question is should I now upgrade my AOL 9.1 to the new free offering of Desktop 10.1 for even more speed and stability???

Yes, Windows' Firewall is good enough.  I do not know anything about AOL's offering.  Maybe someone else has had some experience with it.
