Dear Ray,
I have a HP vs17 LCD monitor which is plug and play. Every time I start it up I get a message saying 'resolution 1024 x 768 75 HZ, recommended resolution 1280 x 1024 60 HZ', which is also what the installation folder says.
But the monitor works perfectly on 75 HZ!
The question is: change is of not.
Thank you in advance for your kind cooperation.
Kind regards from Rob

I see no problem with it.  If you don't like getting the messages and do not know how to turn them off, change it.  If you like the way it is, keep it.
