I am having trouble with my Brother HL-2040 Laser Printer. The paper light went on before the paper was out(there were about 10 sheets left). I have reset, refilled the paper tray, pressed the Ready button, rebooted my computer, all to no avail. The Paper light just won't go out. Any suggestions?

That sounds like a mechanical problem with your printer.  Maybe a wire is loose that goes to the part that detects whether there is paper or not, or there could be an electrical problem.  A repair man should be able to fix that but if it is a cheap printer, you would be better off getting a new one.
