I have spent the last month trying to get set up to copy VHS tapes to DVD disks. I have gone through two different analog capture devices, and three studio programs. All have captured the video and audio, but ended at the same point: Disk is not blank, Disk is not empty, or ejecting the disk from the drive. I have gone through system/device manager to check the condition of my disk drive, which tells me that it is functioning properly. I tried to find updates for the drivers using the native process: all drivers are current and no new ones are suggested.
My disk drive is the OEM Lightscribe provided with the HP Pavilion purchased in 2005, purported to be able to burn, flip, and burn DVD+/-RW CDs and DVDs. One of the studio programs, Roxio's Easy Media Creator Suite 10, identified and listed the capabilities of the drive to be anything from CD to DVD-+/-R RW. I have burned CDs without any trouble, but no matter what DVD format I try I am stymied.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
